Benoit [Blue Bird] album launch with special guests

Selby Community House, 2/1 Minak Rd, Selby

Album Launch for 'Blue bird' Benoit’s fourth release and debut album, Blue Bird, explores broken landscapes and barren backyards in a subtle and poetic fashion.

In the hills of the Dandenong Ranges, the nine tracks of Blue Bird were recorded by Benoit within the space of a few days in single takes. Sound engineer, David Miller, managed to coax in some friends of his to lend a hand in filling out the sound of the recordings with vocals, banjos, slide guitars, piano and harmonicas. These additions helped to complete the songs to leave a sound that is real and intimate.

Benoit will be releasing Blue Bird at the Selby Folk Club (Selby Community House) on the 29th of November, with special guests Khristian Mizzi and Moonshine Coalition. Limited edition compact disks of Blue Bird will be sold for $15 on the night.

This is a BYO alcohol event. No food/drinks will be sold on the night. Selby is only a short drive away from Belgrave, which has many dinner options you can take advantage of!
